LEARN IT, LIVE IT
Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between truth and falsehood. It’s vital that we lay hold of truth, especially when it comes to the Bible, but that requires that we; I. Learn It A. God needs workers who don’t need to be “people pleasers” as they strive to satisfy their Boss (Gal. 1:10; Rom. 14:12) 1. We need deep, diligent study to avoid getting caught up in irrelevant, opinion issues (I Tim. 1:3-4; Prov. 18:2; Rom. 14:1) a. False teachers can cause catastrophes (I Tim. 6:2b-4; II Tim. 3:14,15) 2. We can have boldness when we hold to sound doctrine and handle God’s Word accurately (II Tim. 1:13; I Tim. 4:16) II. Live It A. Beyond hearing and understanding, we need to act in faith (Jam. 2:14,17-18) 1. Some are deceived by the “do as I say, not as I do” mindset (Jam. 2:19; Lk. 6:46-47) 2. They see who they are compared to God’s Word, but foolishly never change (I Jn. 1:6; Ps. 119:11) 3. We need to look deeply into scripture and the law fulfilled and adapt our lives (Jam. 1:21; Heb. 4:12) When we truly trust in God and obey His Word, we experience His blessings (Ps. 33:18)

Ephesians 3:19-19
There are many things in this world that are hard to understand, but God’s love may be the most incomprehensible. God’s love is: I. Spiritually Strong A. From God’s unlimited resources, He gives the Spirit Who bears fruit (Rom. 5:5) 1. The Spirit’s love is not weak, but internally powerful and enduring (II Tim. 1:7; I Cor. 13:7) II. Seen in Christ A. When we trust Him, Christ makes His home in our hearts (Gal. 4:19) 1. Jesus gives us the perfect example of love to copy (Rom. 8:29; I Jn. 3:16; Eph. 5:1-2) III. Foundational A. God is love and that love is the basis for our relationships (I Jn. 4:10,19) 1. We need to let our roots go deep so we can grow in love (Phil. 1:9; I Thess. 3:12) IV. Immeasurable A. We can’t begin to understand everything about God- and that’s good (Job 37:5; Eccl. 8:16,17) 1. Even if we can’t fully grasp it, we can experience “the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love” (I Jn. 3:1) Our desire and prayer should be to be so full of God and His love that it shows through to others (I Jn. 4:11)
