TAKE A STAND, ALLOW POTENTIAL
Some people have a hard time speaking up. When it comes to the pro-life issue, committed believers need to ask: I. What Am I Made of? A. Blunt warning: Life is hard and there are challenges we need to be up for (Ps. 86:7; Phil. 4:13; Deut. 31:6) 1. Standing strong in adversity can reinforce our faith (I Pet. 1:7; Jam. 1:2-4) II. Am I Willing to Do Something? A. For those innocents facing death, we must step up to help and rescue them if possible (Ex. 23:7) 1. Despite getting involved in controversy and backlash, we can find strength from wisdom (Prov. 31:8; 24:5) a. Our tools in confronting illogical indignation are science and reason (Ps. 139:13-16; I Cor. 14:20; Isa. 1:18) III. Who Is Aware of Our Excuses? A. Discretion is important, but the God Who knows us intimately knows we’re aware of the atrocities (Prov. 2:11; Heb. 4:13) 1. We can’t plead ignorance of the incredible gift of human life with its unknown potential (Ps. 8:5) 2. For the believer, there’s no room for indifference and cowardice (Rom. 12:9; Heb. 10:38; Jam. 4:17) We need to pray fervently for direction and then do what’s right- for God’s sake (Matt. 25:21)

Ephesians 3:19-19
There are many things in this world that are hard to understand, but God’s love may be the most incomprehensible. God’s love is: I. Spiritually Strong A. From God’s unlimited resources, He gives the Spirit Who bears fruit (Rom. 5:5) 1. The Spirit’s love is not weak, but internally powerful and enduring (II Tim. 1:7; I Cor. 13:7) II. Seen in Christ A. When we trust Him, Christ makes His home in our hearts (Gal. 4:19) 1. Jesus gives us the perfect example of love to copy (Rom. 8:29; I Jn. 3:16; Eph. 5:1-2) III. Foundational A. God is love and that love is the basis for our relationships (I Jn. 4:10,19) 1. We need to let our roots go deep so we can grow in love (Phil. 1:9; I Thess. 3:12) IV. Immeasurable A. We can’t begin to understand everything about God- and that’s good (Job 37:5; Eccl. 8:16,17) 1. Even if we can’t fully grasp it, we can experience “the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love” (I Jn. 3:1) Our desire and prayer should be to be so full of God and His love that it shows through to others (I Jn. 4:11)
